How to Hide Folders on a Thumb Drive
- 1). Insert the thumb drive into an open USB port on the computer.
- 2). Click "Start" (the Windows-logo button on the lower-left-hand side of the screen), then click "My Computer." Windows displays a list of the storage devices connected to the computer. Double-click on the thumb drive. A Windows Explorer window opens, showing the thumb drive's contents.
- 3). Right-click on the icon corresponding to the file or folder you want to hide, then select "Properties."
- 4). Click the "General" tab, then click the check box next to "Hidden" until you see a check mark. Click "OK." At that point, Windows no longer lists the file or folder as part of the data stored on the thumb drive.
