Instructions on How to String Beads

    • 1). Lay out beads along the long groove of a bead tray in your bead pattern design. Build the bead pattern until it is the proper length for your project.

    • 2). Cut a piece of nylon string long enough to hold the bead pattern you created with four to five extra inches of string for securing the ends.

    • 3). Fold a piece of masking tape over one end of the string to keep beads from falling off, leave about 2 inches of extra string beyond the tape.

    • 4). Start at one end of the bead tray and carefully thread the untaped end of the nylon string through the hole in the center of a bead, and let it drop down the string onto the tape. Repeat until all beads have been transferred to the string.

    • 5). Thread a crimp bead onto the end of the string of beads. Pull the end of the string through the loop of the jewelry clasp. Bring the end of the string back through the crimp bead again and pull string so that beads and crimp bead are very close to the clasp.

    • 6). Flatten the crimp bead with needle nosed pliers, firmly grasping the string within the crimped metal. Thread the remainder of the nylon string underneath the beads at the end, trimming if necessary.

    • 7). Remove tape from the opposite end and repeat process with the crimp bead and the other end of the jewelry clasp.
