Uniform Commercial Code Training
- Nine articles and two sub-articles make up the Uniform Commercial Code. Article 1 is a master article, the provisions of which apply to the other articles. Those articles deal with discrete types of commercial transactions. For example, Article 2 deals with the sale of goods and Article 9 with secured transactions.
- Perhaps the best place to receive training on the Uniform Commercial Code is through the American Bar Association. The ABA's UCC Committee provides training to its members and the wider public concerning aspects of commercial law affected by the Uniform Commercial Code. Alternatively, various professional education companies offer training courses on discrete articles of the Uniform Commercial Code.
- The Uniform Commercial Code is a vast legal code. An individual with an interest in a particular type of commercial transaction will only need to become acquainted with Article 1 and the provisions of the particular article that covers the type of commercial transaction relevant to that individual's interest. The ABA's UCC Committee offers targeted training options.
