How to Remove Links From Movado Watches
- 1). Turn the watch so the links are vertical. On the inside of the links near the clasp you will see arrows that point in the direction that the pin must be pushed out. On the edge of the link in the opposite direction from where the arrow is pointing, you will see a small circle where the pin is inserted.
- 2). Put the tip of your pointed tool on the small pin circle mentioned in step one. Pins from any link with an arrow on the inside are removable. Push down on the pin in the direction the arrow is pointing.
- 3). When the pin starts to poke out of the link, use a pair of pliers to completely pull out the pin. Repeat steps two and three on the pin next to the one you just removed. Also remove two neighboring pins.
- 4). Remove the loose link. Place the extra link and extra pin in a safe place in case you need them again.
- 5). Slide the watch bracelet back together. The links should fit together securely.
- 6). Insert the small end of the pin in the hole near the tip of the arrow. You must push the pin in the link against the direction the arrow is pointing. The split end of the pin must not go through the link, because it will damage the link and the pin. Push the pin completely in the link.
