How to Straighten Hair With Milk

    • 1). Wash and dry your hair as normal. Depending on the texture and extent of damage to your hair, milk can be applied to either dry or slightly damp hair. Applying milk on the scalp and hair provides nourishment to dry, brittle hair, taming frizz while helping to keep hair smooth and manageable until your next shampoo.

    • 2). Spray dry hair with 1/3-cup of milk before shampooing. Massage it into the roots, and allow it to set for 15 to 20 minutes. Massaging the scalp also stimulates blood circulation, which is healthy for hair. Before washing your hair, comb out tangles using a wide-tooth comb. Follow by rinsing, shampooing, conditioning, and then rinsing hair thoroughly again afterward to avoid having hair that smells like sour milk.

    • 3). Allow hair to air dry, or pat it dry with a towel after shampooing. Milk should be spritzed lightly onto clean and slightly damp hair. If you are looking for a sleek, smooth look, blow dry using a round brush.

    • 4). Consider using powdered milk, which tends to be a bit more economical these days. Mix ¼-cup of powdered milk with water to make a paste. Use only cold water, as powdered milk does not usually dissolve well in hot or warm water. Massage it into your hair.
