    • 1). Unplug the power cord. Turn off the hot and cold water faucets leading to the GE washing machine.

    • 2). Unscrew the water inlet hoses from the back of the unit. Set the hoses in a bucket to collect any remaining water.

    • 3). Insert the putty knife into the gap between the front panel and top panel. Press the blade into the internal clips located 2 inches from each corner. Lift the top panel up and rest it against the wall behind the EWA5600G0WW washer.

    • 4). Remove the screws holding the front panel to the rest of the washer cabinet. Lift the front panel aside.

    • 5). Remove the screws securing the back panel to the GE washer cabinet. Lift off the back panel. You now have access to the internal components.
