The thing to remember about men is that they rarely confront you about something that they don't like especially if they are just getting to know you.
They just disappear and leave you wondering what happened.
You shouldn't always assume it's your fault when this happens, but you should be aware of certain things that you can avoid doing that turn men off and send them packing.
Forget about the past when you are with a new guy.
He typically has no interest or desire to hear about past jerks and heartbreak in your life.
He also doesn't want to be compared to any of those losers.
If the topic does come up, find a way to provide an honest and objective outlook on what your past relationships have taught you.
And don't be cynical.
Saying things like "he taught me to never trust another man" is not going to cut it.
It would be better to say that your trust in men was diminished for a short period of time but that you are past that now.
Forget about the future when you are with a new guy.
This is probably a harder one to swallow, but when you start talking about settling down too soon, men can get turned off rather quickly.
It's fine to talk about your own hopes and goals for the future but skip the house, kids and white picket fence talk for awhile.
The best thing is to let him know that you do want those things but only with the right person.
There is a time for discussing those things but only after things progress to a more serious level between you.
And it is ideal to let him bring up the subject.
Forget about finances when you are just getting to know a guy.
All women want a guy that is financially stable and ambitious, but inquiring about it early on can turn guys off.
A man wants to be appreciated for who he is and not just what he thinks you think you can get from him.
Men are very protective of their finances because that is the one thing they stand to lose if a relationship goes sour.
So show him that you are a good steward of your own resources and he'll be more likely to trust you with his.
