How to Change a Dashlight Bulb in a 1997 Acura Integra
- 1). Remove the three screws with a Phillips screwdriver holding the steering column cover in place. The screws are located on the bottom of the cover in recessed holes. Separate the top half of the cover from the bottom half after removing the screws and pull the two pieces away from the column.
- 2). Tilt the steering wheel to its lowest position on models equipped with tilt.
- 3). Remove the two screws with a Phillips screwdriver holding the instrument cluster trim over the instrument cluster. The screws are under the top side of the bezel just above the instrument cluster gauges. Pull the bezel away from the cluster to detach any retaining clips.
- 4). Remove the four screws with a Phillips screwdriver holding the instrument cluster to the dashboard. Two of the screws are located on the left side of the cluster, while two are located on the right side. Pull the cluster from the dashboard and detach the electrical connectors from the back of the cluster. The connectors can be detached by hand.
- 5). Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise to release the holder from the back of the instrument cluster.
- 6). Pull the bulb from the holder. Insert the replacement bulb into the holder.
- 7). Insert the bulb into the back of the instrument cluster and rotate it clockwise to engage the bulb holder to the cluster.
- 8). Attach the electrical connectors to the back of the instrument cluster. Position the cluster in the dashboard recess. Install the four cluster-retaining screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
- 9). Install the instrument cluster bezel. Push the bezel over the instrument cluster to engage the retaining clips. Replace the two screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

Place the two pieces of the steering column cover over the steering column. Ensure they are attached to each other at the rear of the column. Install the three retaining screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
