Lenovo 3000 G530 Specs

104 5
    • The Lenovo 3000 G530 is a lightweight laptop that was released in June 2008 during the transition from the Windows Vista operating system (OS) to the XP OS. This is why some laptops in the first production line have Windows XP installed while others have Windows Vista. Even though the performance of the laptop isn't as high as the newer 2010 models, the Lenovo 3000 G530 still has some impressive features.

    Processor

    • Although the laptop came out in 2008, its Intel Pentium processor, the T3400, still keeps up with the performance of processors today. Running dual-core at 2.0 GHz, the performance of the T3400 is similar to the T4400, dual-core at 2.2 GHz, a processor commonly used in new laptops. There was also an option to have the 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo installed, which slightly increased performance.

    RAM

    • The 3000 G530 came standard with 2 GBs of RAM with an option to upgrade to 3 GBs. Most laptops today come standard with 4 GBs but do not expand beyond that without an inflated price tag. This means that the memory of the Lenovo is still almost on par with the memory of laptops today.

    Hard Drive

    • The main feature that the Lenovo lacks in comparison to today's laptops is storage space. It came standard with a 160 GB hard drive, which was upgradeable to 250 GBs. New laptops come standard with 320 GBs, and most have 500 GBs.
