    • 1). Turn off the dryer. Shut off the associated circuit for the dryer in the circuit breaker.

    • 2). Pull the dryer a few inches away from the wall.

    • 3). Unscrew the vent hose clamp screw and remove the hose from the back of the dryer.

    • 4). Pull out the clogged lint with the vent cleaner brush. Use the vacuum hose to suck out more of the lint.

    • 5). Inspect the length of the hose. Gently stretch out the vent hose to remove kinks.

    • 6). Reconnect the hose to the back of the dryer and tighten the clamp. Carefully pull the excess hose length away from the dryer so it is not bunched up or twisted.

    • 7). Push the dryer back into place, being careful not to trap the hose between the dryer and wall or under the dryer. Inspect the hose again and move as needed to ensure the hose is not kinked or bent.
