How to Fix the Turn Signal on a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

    • 1). Open the trunk and locate the access panel for the tail light assemblies on the right and left sides of the trunk opening. Remove the screws that secure the cover to the body with a Phillips-head screwdriver.

    • 2). Remove the three mounting screws that hold the read taillight assembly into the car. The three screws are inside the access panel. Remove them with the screwdriver.

    • 3). Disconnect the wiring connector by releasing the locking tab and pull the tail light assembly out of the car. Locate the turn signal lamp on the assembly. The turn signal is the lower-most lamp and socket on each side.

    • 4). Grasp the socket and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it. Remove it from the assembly by pulling it straight back.

    • 5). Remove the bulb from the socket and replace it with a new one. Insert the bulb and socket into the tail light assembly and turn it clockwise until the socket locks in to the assembly.

    • 6). Slide the tail light assembly back into the car and install the three retaining screws. Tighten the screws with the screwdriver. Plug in the wiring harness connector, making sure the two halves lock together.

    • 7). Install the access cover and install the retaining screws that hold it in place. Tighten the screws with the screwdriver. Check the the turn signal light to verify that it is working.
