How to Import Raw Pictures From a Camera
- 1). Connect the small end of the USB cord to the digital camera. There should be a port marked "A/V out" on the side of the bottom of most models.
- 2). Connect the USB end of the cord to an open USB port on your computer.
- 3). Turn on the camera and allow from a few seconds to a minute for your computer to recognize the device.
- 4). After the device has been recognized, click on "My Computer" if you are using a PC. If you are using a Mac, click on your hard-drive icon.
- 5). Find the camera under "Devices with Removable Storage" or "Scanners and Cameras."
- 6). Double click on the camera icon.
- 7). Double click on the folder that appears.
- 8). Select all the pictures by clicking "ctrl+a" on a PC or "butterfly+a" on a Mac. Then, while they are all selected, click "ctrl+c" on a PC or "butterfly+c" on a Mac.
- 9). Open the folder to which you want to copy the pictures, and click "ctrl+v" on a PC or "butterfly+v" on a Mac.
