The experienced staff helps to produce the best sound by getting to know its artists, then using the best digital hardware and software, including Pro Tools and Wavelab. Prices start at $55 an hour as of 2010, but discounts apply when more than four hours are booked at a time.

    • Using a mixture of classic analog technologies as well as premium digital equipment, Shimamoto Sound Studio offers services that include production, tracking, mixing and more. Instruments such as guitars, keyboards and drums are available as well. Shimamoto has recorded almost every type of music, including rock, hip-hop, folk, blues and pop. It offers negotiable flat rate package deals.

    • Having a history dating to the 1960s, Baker Sound Studios has been a key figure in Philadelphia's music studios. One of the larger facilities in the area, Baker Sound contains three studios and a relaxed atmosphere. Using a Sony PVW-2800 beta deck, this studio also offers digital instruments.     • Using expert technicians, Fifth Stone Studios does all in-house mixing and mastering using analog equipment and newer digital technologies.
