How to Copy Tracks From a Library Without an iPod
- 1). Insert a blank CD or DVD into your computer's disk drive. You also can use a thumb drive or other USB memory device to transfer tracks without an iPod. If you're using a thumb drive, you'll need to open a Finder or Windows display for the device in question.
- 2). If using a blank CD or DVD, the disc should appear in your iTunes display; just drag and drop the tracks you would like to copy to the disc. For a thumb drive, drag and drop the music tracks you'd like to copy from your iTunes library to the thumb drive.
- 3). Click on the "Burn CD" icon--or the little yellow and black icon next to the blank CD in your iTunes screen--to copy the tracks from your computer to the CD or DVD. This will take a few minutes. If you're using a USB or thumb drive, the copying was completed during the drag-and-drop process.
- 4). Eject the disc or remove the thumb drive from your computer. (Be sure to click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon before removing the thumb drive.)
