Ladder Ball Directions
- 1). Find an area to play in which has 15 to 30 feet of open space. Set up a ladder and a throw line marked out at the distance which you wish to throw from. If you are playing a team game, you may want to use two ladders, one at either end of the play area, facing each other.
- 2). Decide which team or player is going first. The first player will step up to the throw line and toss three bolas toward the opposition's ladder and try to wrap it around a rung. The second player will then do the same. Points are added up for each player or team based on which rungs they managed to get their bolas to hang on. If a player manages to get all three bolas onto the same rung, or one on each rung, they get a bonus point.
- 3). Whichever player or team got the highest score in the last round will go first in the next round. Play continues until one player or team manages to get 21 points exactly. For example, if a player has 20 points and scores two or three points, then his score for that round won't count --- the player will have to score one point to win the game.
- 4). If both players manage to reach 21 within the same round, play will continue until one player is ahead by at least two points.
