How to Get Free Quilting Patterns
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Decide what fabric you'll be using for your quilt or other quilting project before looking for free patterns. For example, you may have a lot of scraps and need patterns that allow you to use up some of these small pieces and only have to buy fabric for the borders or as a main color. Alternatively, you may have enough fabric on hand to use all of your own fabric. Look at a number of free patterns to see if your fabric scraps and remnants will work for one of the projects.
2
Visit the P&B Textiles website for free quilting patterns. Available free quilt patterns include "Basket O' Kitties," "Sophie's Squares" and "Boogie Woogie." Find the free pattern you'd like to use and click the photo or the title. You will then be directed to click another link to download the free quilt pattern.
3
Navigate to Connecting Threads' website, where "the best things in life are free," according to Connecting Threads. Their free patterns include not only quilts, but tissue box covers patterns, handbags and totes, coasters and pillows. They also offer tutorials on English paper piecing and bias binding.
4
Visit EZ Quilting's website for a number of free quilt patterns. Choose from the list for patterns like the "Rise & Shine Quilt" or the "Circle Dance Quilt."
