    • 1). Measure down from the shelf 1 and ¾ inches; mark an X on the wall.

    • 2). Line the level up with the X and measure 12 inches out from the back of the wall; place an X at this measurement.

    • 3). Use a drill to make a ½-inch hole at the newest X mark. Thread the head of the toggle bolt through the hole in the rod holder.

    • 4). Thread the toggle onto the bolt with the toggle folded toward the rod holder. Push the toggle into the hole you drilled; after the toggle has passed through, the toggle will open.

    • 5). Pull back on the rod holder with the opening facing up as you are screw the bolt into the toggle. This will make the toggle grab the bolt, making a secure hold.

    • 6). Repeat the process for the other side of the rod.
