Coloring Crafts

• Toddlers can color different kinds of dinosaur crafts from pages in a coloring book, online printable coloring pages, hard-boiled eggs and ceramics shaped like dinosaurs. Finger paint, crayons, markers, glitter glue, colored pencils and water color are mediums toddlers can use to color these items. To represent dinosaur eggs, they can use paint or markers to make colored spots on hard-boiled eggs. Paint and glitter make excellent decorations for ceramics shaped like dinosaurs.
  
  

Gluing Crafts

• Some crafts only require toddlers to use paper and glue, such as a tissue paper dinosaur. An adult can cut out the shape of a dinosaur and the kids can twist small squares of different-colored tissue paper. The twisted pieces of tissue are then glued onto the dinosaur cutout until it is completely covered.
  
  Fabric glue can be used to create a dinosaur puppet from a sock. An adult can cut tongue and spike shapes from felt for kids to glue onto the sock; googly eyes are then glued onto the sock to complete the puppet.
  
  

Food Crafts

• Under the supervision of an adult, toddlers can create dinosaur food crafts. Toddlers can help adults make dinosaur-shaped cookies or sandwiches by using dinosaur-shaped cookie cutters. Toddlers can also help by mixing ingredients to make sugar cookies and by decorating the cookies with icing.
  
  With the help of a dinosaur-shaped baking pan, toddlers can assist adults in mixing the ingredients for a cake shaped like a dinosaur. Kids can also decorate the cake with icing and chocolate candies.
  
  

Clay Crafts

• Toddlers can use clay in different colors to create dinosaur crafts. An adult can show toddlers how to create pieces of the dinosaur such as the head, legs, tail, body and spikes, and how to put them together to create the dinosaur.
  
  Toddlers can also create a fossil by flattening a round piece of clay and pressing a small toy dinosaur onto the clay to create an imprint. Toddlers can also make fossils using the foot of a large toy dinosaur.
