    • 1). Wash the rear windshield with a mixture of dish soap and water. Combine both in a bucket and stir by hand until sudsy. Use a soft cloth to wash the window then wipe it dry completely.

    • 2). Saturate a cloth with denatured alcohol and wipe it across the damaged areas of the window.

    • 3). Use the corner of a razor to extract any loose pieces of glass from the damaged areas.

    • 4). Fill a syringe with liquid resin and tap it a few times to release any air bubbles. This will ensure a steady flow of resin once you begin making the repair.

    • 5). Insert the syringe tip into the open chip or crack, and fill it completely. Allow it to spill over onto the window surface; you can remove any excess once it dries.

    • 6). Wait three to four hours for the resin to dry then scrape any dried residue from the surface with the edge of the razor.
