How to Remove Paint From Nylon Material
- 1). Remove any excess paint with a paper towel. Pick up the paint with minimal pressure or it could be pushed further into the nylon material.
- 2). Soak a soft cloth with turpentine.
- 3). Dab at the stain with the turpentine-soaked cloth. Do not rub the stain or it could set further.
- 4). Rinse the nylon material with cold water.
- 5). Repeat this process, if necessary.
- 6). Pour 3 tbsp. liquid laundry detergent onto the stain and gently work it into the nylon material with your fingers.
- 7). Place the stained nylon material into the washing machine on a “warm” setting with a cap full of liquid laundry soap.
- 8). Inspect the nylon material after it has been washed. If the stain is gone, place it in the dryer if desired. If the stain is still there, repeat this process. The heat from the dryer could cause any stain that remains to set further.
