How to Watch TV Shows With Comcast OnDemand
- 1). Begin with the most basic step, programming your remote. Make sure you follow the Comcast installation manual and program your remote so that you can control both the television and the cable box with the same remote. (Find remote codes in Resources below.)

The Comcast Main Menu
Access Television On Demand. Turn to channel 1 by simply pressing "1" and "OK," or hit the black "On Demand" button near the top of the remote. The "On Demand" button offers thousands of programs with the touch of one button. You can also access On Demand through the Main Menu. There is an On Demand section that you can select which will go directly to the On Demand menu. - 3). View the menu that appears. There are free services and premium services. You will have the amount of On Demand channels that correspond to your cable package. Contact Comcast if you want to upgrade or downgrade your service. Most of the free services are available via the "TV Entertainment" and "Free Movies" tabs.
- 4). Purchase one of the paid programs through Comcast On Demand if desired; the charges will be added to your next bill. You will need to hit "OK" when you are prompted to order the show of your choice and then accept the charges. You will be thanked for ordering your show and then it will begin.
- 5). Notice that the Comcast remote has the same buttons as those on a traditional DVD player. You can stop, start, pause, fast forward and rewind programming with the Comcast remote just as you would a traditional remote. This allows you to access all parts of your program at any time. If you stop your program, you can return to it later via the "Saved Programs" tab on the On Demand Main Menu.
