How to Keep a Shower Warm
- 1). Turn the heat up in the house just before you go into the bathroom. If the house is a few degrees warmer, the shower will feel slightly warmer as well.
- 2). Close the windows and doors in the bathroom. This will keep most of the heat focused in the bathroom and keep the shower warm as a result. Also, keep the shower door closed, or the shower curtain pulled, to retain as much heat and steam in the shower as possible.
- 3). Adjust your water heater's temperature. If you increase the water temperature, your water will reach a higher temperature and you shower will stay warm longer. Be aware that this could increase your electricity or gas bill and be dangerous to any young children in the house.
- 4). Ensure that no other appliances that need hot water are running at the same time as your shower. This will affect how much hot water available for the shower.
