How to Troubleshoot a Paloma Tankless Water Heater
- 1). Check the remote control and make sure it is turned to "on."
- 2). The water shutoff valve should be all the way open. This valve adjusts the flow of water into the hot water heater.
- 3). Open your hot water faucet to full. The tankless unit should reset itself and start up again when you turn on the hot water faucet.
- 4). Increase the temperature setting if it is summer and the water coming in already is warm.
- 1). Turn the setting on the remote control down by pressing the down arrow temperature button for water that is too hot.
- 2). Press the up arrow temperature button on the remote control for water that is too cold. Do this gradually to make that you do not set the water temperature too high. A good place to start is 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 3). Again, the water inflow valve also must be all the way open.
- 1). Do not touch anything electrical or turn on any appliance.
