    • 1). Cut and lay pieces of rosin paper to create a template of the room. Secure the pieces of paper together with masking tape.

    • 2). Roll out the vinyl flooring on the floor and position the template on top. Tape the template to the floor and trace around it with the felt-tip marker.

    • 3). Align the straight edge on the marks and cut the flooring with the utility knife.

    • 4). Position the flooring in the room for a dry fit. Roll back one side to expose the subfloor.

    • 5). Open the bucket of flooring adhesive and scoop it out with the trowel. Spread the adhesive so that it is even on the floor with the notched side of the trowel. Lay the flooring on the adhesive and adhere it by using the floor roller.

    • 6). Roll back the other side of the flooring. Spread the glue on the subfloor and lay the flooring in place.

    • 7). Allow the adhesive to dry for at least 12 hours.
