How to Remove System Volume Information After Backup
- 1). Click the Windows Start button and select "All Programs." Select "Accessories," then select "System Tools" and click the "Disk Cleanup" icon.
- 2). Select the drive where the system volume information directory is located. Since it is a system folder, it's located on the same hard drive where Windows is installed. For most users, this is the "C:" drive. Select the drive and press the "Ok" button.
- 3). Click the "More Options" tab. Click the "Clean up" button in the section labeled "System Restore and Shadow Copies." Click the "Yes" button to confirm you want to delete the files.
