    • 1). Create a paste with 1 cup baking soda and 2 tbsp. water. Continue to add more water to the mixture until the paste consistency is reached.

    • 2). Slip on a pair of rubber gloves, and rub the entire mixture onto the shower with your hands, paying attention to any areas that are covered with soap scum and mildew. Use your fingers to reach difficult areas or to work the paste into the corner.

    • 3). Work the paste into the shower floor and walls with a plastic scrub brush. Use an old toothbrush to work the paste into the corners, seams and hard-to-reach places.

    • 4). Allow the paste to remain for 10 to 15 minutes. While the paste is drying, add 1 cup white vinegar, 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice and 1 cup water to a plastic spray bottle.

    • 5). Replace the bottle's top and shake the ingredients vigorously. Spray the mixture directly onto the baking-soda paste.

    • 6). Work the vinegar and lemon juice mixture into the baking-soda paste with the plastic scrub brush. Rinse off the baking-soda paste and vinegar spray with water.
