    Arizona State University

    • The School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree program that offers a variety of concentrations within the civil engineering field. While the basic civil engineering program teaches students about water resource engineering, geotechnical engineering and transportation engineering, other concentrations involve construction civil engineering, structural civil engineering and environmental civil engineering. Students also have the option of enrolling in the 4+1 accelerated master's degree program. This offers students an opportunity to complete a bachelor's and master's degree program in a five-year period.

    Louisiana State University

    • Louisiana State University's Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in civil engineering. Applicants to a bachelor's degree program must have a strong foundation in mathematics and physics. Courses cover topics in hydrology, water resources, structures, fluids, dynamics and highway engineering. Graduate degrees in civil engineering are available at the master's and doctoral levels. Both programs offer civil engineering concentrations in environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, mechanics engineering, transportation engineering and water resource engineering. The thesis program in the master's degree program is 25 credits, while the thesis option is 37 credits. The doctorate program requires students to complete an additional 55 credits beyond the bachelor's degree.

    University of Iowa

    • The University of Iowa offers a bachelor's degree and a combined bachelor's and master's degree program in civil engineering. The civil engineering programs teach students about the planning, design, construction and operation of structures and transportation systems. Students also learn about problems in communities, environments, bodies of water, roadways, urban development and energy efficiency. The fast-track combined bachelor's and master's degree program allows academically qualified students to apply four undergraduate courses to a master's degree program in civil engineering.

    University of Delaware

    • The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Delaware offers a bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree program in civil engineering. In addition to a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, concentrations are available in contaminant transport and control process, environmental engineering biotechnology, water resources and water control, and environmental facilities design and construction. Students also have the option of minoring in civil engineering. The master's and doctoral degree program offers seven concentrations areas, including civil infrastructure systems, coastal engineering, water resources engineering and transportation engineering.
