    Create a Tabletop Winter Scene

    • 1). Cut a piece of cardboard with a utility knife so that it fits the surface of an end table or coffee table.

    • 2). Drizzle white glue over one side of the cardboard. Do not worry about messy lines, as they will not be seen through the snow.

    • 3). Use scissors to cut a sheet of polyester batting to fit the same table, and press it over the glue on the cardboard so that it covers the entire piece of cardboard. Allow the glue to dry for about 20 minutes.

    • 4). Sprinkle iridescent glitter over the foam batting to create the illusion of sparkling snow.

    • 5). Arrange your knickknacks and other items of holiday decor over the snowy tabletop for a winter scene.

    Make Snowballs

    • 1). Fill the bottom of a paper plate with white glitter.

    • 2). Spray several styrofoam balls with spray adhesive, and roll them in the plate of white glitter. Allow the adhesive to dry according to the package instructions.

    • 3). Place the snowballs in various places throughout your home, or arrange them on a table, in a basket or in a bowl.

Add Permanent Snow to Tree Ornaments

    • 1). Set your hot glue gun to medium heat, and allow the glue inside to melt.

    • 2). Drizzle a bit of glue onto the tops of Christmas tree ornaments and allow the glue to dry.

    • 3). Paint the glue drips with white craft paint and a paintbrush to make them look like snow resting on the ornaments. Allow the paint to dry before hanging the ornaments.
