How do I Remove a Front Bumper From a Ford Escort ZX2?
- 1). Park the car on a level surface, turn of the ignition and set the parking brake. Open and secure the hood of the ZX2 and find the row of 4 bolts along the front edge of the car. Remove the bolts using a ratchet and a 10 mm socket.
- 2). Look under the hood on the inside of the fender where the front bumper is attached. There are three bolts on each side of the car that need to be removed, using a ratchet and 10 mm socket.
- 3). Slide under the front of the ZX2 and find the row of Phillips-head screws connecting the plastic splash guard to the bottom of the bumper. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws. Pull the splash guard back and out of the way.
- 4). Pull the bumper off of the car. The two lights in the center of the bumper are not affected by removing the bumper.
