How to Troubleshoot a Yardmaster Snowblower That Won't Start
- 1). Squeeze the clutch bar and hold it down the entire time you’re trying to start the snowblower.
- 2). Check to see if there is any gas in the tank, and then fill it with the proper mix if it is empty.
- 3). Press the primer button for one firm liquid depression to get fuel into the system before you pull the starter rope.
- 4). Move the snowblower into the garage or another warm place to let it thaw out if ice has formed on the pull rope and you can’t pull it out sufficiently.
- 5). Gently turn the jet on the carburetor all the way in, then back it off 1 1/4 turns. Start the engine and adjust the carburetor until it runs smoothly.
