How to Repair a Passenger Seat Belt in a Chevy Blazer
- 1). Open the front passenger side door and use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the piece of plastic trim that runs along the bottom of the door. Depending on the year of the Blazer, the piece of floor-door trim on the passenger back seat may have to be removed as well. Set the trim pieces and their screws aside in a safe spot.
- 2). Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the plastic trim panel that runs vertically between the front and rear seat to gain full access to the seat belt.
- 3). Use a wrench to remove both the upper and lower seat belt assemblies.
- 4). Hold the new upper seat belt assembly in place and bolt it down with the socket set. Do the same to bolt the lower half of the assembly to the floor.
- 5). Snap the plastic horizontal trim cover back into place.
- 6). Lay down both pieces of the lower door trim panel pieces and re-install their retaining screws with the screwdriver.
