Amana Washer Belt Installation
- 1). Unplug the washing machine power cord. Turn off the cold and hot water faucets connected to the water inlet hoses.
- 2). Unscrew the two water inlet hoses on the back of the Amana washing machine. Set the hoses in a bucket to drain any standing water.
- 3). Remove the two screws at the base of the front panel. Lift the panel up and away from the Amana washer to remove it.
- 4). Remove the screws on the underside of the top panel. Lift the top panel up and back to rest on the hinges in the back of the washer.
- 5). Unhook the springs on each side of the motor assembly. Remove the bolts securing the motor to the washer cabinet.
- 6). Unplug the wire connector leading into the motor.
- 7). Slide the old belt off the two pulleys. Position the new belt around both pulleys.
- 8). Plug the electrical connector back into the motor. Replace the bolts securing the motor to the cabinet. Hook the springs on each side of the motor assembly back into position.
- 9). Lower the top panel back onto the Amana washer cabinet. Replace the screws on the underside of the cabinet.

Reposition the front panel onto the washing machine. Install the two screws at the base of the front panel. - 11
Screw the water inlet hoses back into their sockets on the back of the Amana washing machine. Plug the power cord back into the electrical socket.
