    Neurologic Effects

    • Headache, dizziness and light-headedness are just a few of the neurologic side effects caused by taking Propoxy N-apap. Excessive drowsiness and falling asleep without warning could occur, as can more serious mood or mental changes, memory loss, seizures, increased sweating and low blood pressure. Other serious side effects include confusion, nervousness, restlessness and feeling severely weak. Immediately report to your physician any hallucinations, trembling, depression or ringing in the ears, as brain damage or death could result from these severe symptoms.

    Gastrointestinal Effects

    • Do not take aspirin while taking Propoxy N-apap as it can cause stomach bleeding. Severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are signs of an overdose and you should discontinue use until you consult a physician. Other adverse effects include continuous vomiting, stomach cramps and pains; black or bloody stool could be an indication of a serious adverse reaction.

    Effects on Liver

    • In rare cases, there is an increase in urine output indicating possible damage to the kidneys or liver. If you experience a severe case of nausea, vomiting, extreme fatigue or weakness, contact your physician immediately. Changes in skin color, dark-colored urine or yellowing of the eyes can also be an indication of liver damage.

    Changes in Vision

    • Side effects of using Propoxy N-apap could include blurred vision, double vision, or pinpoint-dilated eye pupils. Although most changes in vision will subside with continued use of the medication, discontinue use until you consult a doctor. Report any changes in vision to your physician immediately.

    Allergic Reaction

    • In rare cases, some patients may experience an allergic reaction to this medication. Most common symptoms include swelling or itching of the tongue, throat, or facial area. Trouble breathing or extreme dizziness could be an indication of a severe allergic reaction. Seek medical attention immediately, as an allergic reaction could potentially result in death.

    Long-term Use Lessens Effects

    • Some side effects of using Propoxy N-apap will subside with continued use. The common effects that can fade with use include dizziness, headache, nausea and vomiting. For most users, faintness, lightheadedness, and physical weakness usually disappear over time. Loss of appetite, restlessness, trouble sleeping, and changes in vision, as well as dry mouth and constipation all typically lessen with continued use of the drug.
