How to Install Ice Makers in Kenmore Refrigerators
- 1). Unplug the refrigerator's power cord from the wall outlet to prevent injury during the replacement of the ice maker.
- 2). Open the freezer door, then remove the ice bucket.
- 3). Loosen the two screws located above the ice maker, securing the ice maker to the freezer wall.
- 4). Remove the screw below the ice maker securing the ice maker to the freezer wall, if applicable to your model.
- 5). Lift the ice maker up and off of the mounting screws.
- 6). Disconnect the ice maker's wire connector from the refrigerator wire harness, and then remove the ice maker.
- 7). Connect the new ice maker's wire connector to the refrigerator's wire harness.
- 8). Hang the new ice maker on the two mounting screws on the side of the freezer wall. Tighten the screws to secure the ice maker in place.
- 9). Reinstall the lower screw, if applicable to your refrigerator.

Reinstall the ice bucket, and then close the freezer door. - 11
Plug the refrigerator's power cord back into the wall outlet to complete the installation.
