Campground Review and Description:
Description:
We called to reserve a site, were told they would check to be sure a 31' would fit and call us back. They called back and gave us site 2, confirmed we would fit. (this should have been our first clue, they should KNOW what will fit on the sites...) We arrive and are greeted by some lady wildly waving her arms at us.
We finally figured out she was trying to point us where to park. Did not answer when we asked what she was trying to tell us. They led us to a site..NOT the one we reserved as we had asked for a wooded site, not in a field. We were told it was because we wouldn't fit on the site we reserved and they confirmed was good.We also discovered that you cannot even drive a motorhome to that site, only a truck or car.We ended up on a site in the overpacked middle of the campground.on out left was a trailer that looked as if it had been abandoned for two or three years, it actually had small trees growing out of the roof. on out right, maybe 5 feet away (would have been tight to put up an awning) was a trailer. About 10' in front across the narrow road were about ten other campers. We were going to pack up and leave when we saw where we were, the water connection was about 75' away buried in the bushes, power about 50' away on a wobbly pole. Campers walking around carrying and drinking beer, booze, dogs running free..but it was late and bad weather so we stayed the night.
10 PM quiet time did not happen. VERY loud all around us until about 1AM. A lot of drinking/partying all over. We left and found another campground at first light. Talking to campers at the second campground, we were informed that Kenolie is known for drugs and alcohol and all night parties. STAY AWAY!!!.
Pros, Cons, Attractions and Additional Comments:
Pros: nothing at all
Cons: Misleading reservation, overcrowded, drinking and parting, loose dogs
Rating: 1
