How to Paint Motorcycle Plastics
- 1). Remove the plastic motorcycle part using the wrench and screw driver. Clean the plastic part with warm water and soap. Allow the plastic part to dry.
- 2). Place the plastic part onto a piece of newspaper. Apply one coat of paint primer to the plastic part and allow the primer to dry for one hour. Apply a second coat of paint primer to the plastic part and allow the primer to dry for one hour. Repeat for the opposite side of the plastic part.
- 3). Apply one coat of paint to the plastic part. If the plastic part is going to be near a heat source, use a heat-resistant paint. Allow the paint to dry for two hours. Apply one more coat of paint to the plastic part and allow the plastic part to dry overnight.
