How to Play 32nd Notes on a Piano
- 1). Select a pattern of notes to be played on the piano keyboard. A row of eight consecutive white keys is easiest to start. For example, try playing from middle C up to and including the next C higher, striking only the white keys.
- 2). Set the metronome at a slow tempo, for example, 60. Consider that each metronome click marks off one beat with the musical time value of a quarter note.
- 3). Play the eight consecutive notes beginning on the first click and ending just before the next click. If there is not enough time to play all eight notes before the very next click, try a slower metronome setting, and begin again. It is important to play evenly, and to keep the succession of notes steady.
