How to Add Memory to a Mac G4
- 1). Shut down all computer programs.
- 2). Turn off the computer and unplug it from its power source. Disconnect all devices.
- 3). Touch an unpainted piece of metal to remove the static electricity from your body.
- 4). Put the computer tower on a table.
- 5). Lift the latch on the top of the computer tower. Lower the side onto a clean and even surface.
- 6). Find the memory modules on the right side of the side panel.
- 7). Flip the clips on either side of the module away from the module and slide it out of the computer.
- 8). Match the notch on the new module with the knob in the slot. Slide the module into the slot. The clips with fasten onto either side of the module.
- 9). Lift the side panel and close it against the tower. Plug in the computer. Connect all devices and turn on the computer.
