Troubleshoot a Refridgerator Ice Maker
- 1). Position the ice bucket correctly in your freezer. The ice bucket should sit directly under the ejection railings of the ice maker.
- 2). Check the freezer's shutoff arm, which should always be in the downward position to produce ice. At times the shutoff arm can stick upright, preventing the ice maker from producing ice. Pull it down to see if this fixes the problem.
- 3). Unplug the refrigerator’s power supply from the wall outlet in your kitchen for a few seconds, then plug it back in. This will reset the ice maker and could solve the problem.
- 4). Pull your refrigerator away from the wall and confirm the ice maker’s water supply hose is properly secured to the refrigerator’s water inlet. The water supply line is a small tube plugged into the back of your refrigerator. Tighten the connection with a pair of pliers if needed.
