How to Install the HP LaserJet IIP Memory Card
- 1). Hold the power button until the HP LaserJet IIP shuts off. Disconnect the AC adapter cable from the back end of the LaserJet IIP.
- 2). Unplug the parallel cable from the back of the printer. Lift up the plastic printer door and pull the toner cartridge out of the LaserJet IIP.
- 3). Pull out any paper currently in the IIP's print tray. Rotate the printer so the back end is facing you. Grip the top of the access panel and pull it away from the printer.
- 4). Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the locking screw at the right end of the memory access door. Pull the door off the printer.
- 5). Line up the notches on the lower edge of the memory card with the corresponding notches on the exposed memory port. Slide the memory card into the port. Set the memory access door back into place and replace the locking screw.
- 6). Push the access panel back onto the LaserJet IIP until it snaps into place. Replace the LaserJet IIP's toner cartridge and plug back in its AC adapter and parallel cable. Press the IIP's power button.
