    • 1). Disconnect your dryer duct from the wall and from the clothes dryer. Sometimes, they are attached by a wire connector that can be squeezed to release. Others may require you to unscrew an attachment to release the duct.

    • 2). Take the detachable part of the dryer duct outside for easiest cleaning. Insert the crevice attachment to your vacuum and use it to vacuum out the inside of your duct. You can also use a lint brush, if you prefer.

    • 3). Vacuum inside the tube where the dryer vent connects to the wall as well as to the clothes dryer.

    • 4). Insert the end of a leaf blower into the wall end of the dryer duct.

    • 5). Turn the leaf blower on. This will force the lint out of the duct and through the vent on the outside.

    • 6). Reattach all of the pieces of dryer duct to the clothes dryer and the wall.

    • 7). Repeat cleanings every one to three months.
