There are many people who automatically assume that in order to become healthy and to lose weight that they need to not only diet, but they must become exercise fanatics.

Food is not just a necessity, it should become something that nourishes you and fuels you throughout the day.

Fortunately, there are many good tasting foods that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

  • Watermelon-This is definitely a force when it comes to nutrition! It's got about a third of a day's vitamins, A and C, along with potassium.
    When in season, it's very easy to get from local farmers, and easy to snack on.
  • Garbanzo beans-Most beans are actually very good tasting and healthy for you.
    They are rich in iron, potassium, magnesium, protein, zinc, and fiber.
    These specific beans are incredibly versatile to many different dishes.
    You can use them in soups and on top of your salads, and there are many recipes that incorporate the garbanzo bean in great tasting ways.
  • Unsweetened yogurt-This one is great to eat when you've got some fresh fruit lying around and you are wondering what to do with it.
    Great source of B vitamins, and when coupled with fresh fruits like blueberries, strawberries, and bananas, it will make for a fulfilling and healthy snack.
  • Mangoes-A fruit that is also high in vitamins A and C and potassium, and even most important, it is one of the least likely fruits to have detrimental pesticides covering it.
  • Leafy greens-There are an assortment of leafy greens so if you can't handle one, try the other! Things like kale, spinach, collard greens, just to name a few, are filled with magnesium, potassium, calcium, vitamins A, C, and K, iron, and fiber.
    You can fix the greens in a number of different ways.
  • Wild salmon-This is one of the best fish for you to consume, and it can also be prepared in different ways.
    It is an omega-3 fatty fish, which can help reduce the risk of heart attacks.
    And wild salmon, compared to farm raised salmon, contains less contaminants and is all-around healthier for you.
When you make these positive changes to your diet, you will see the changes.
And when you change your water from the unhealthy, expensive bottled water to pure, clean, alkaline water, you will discover even more positive changes.
