    • 1). Come up with a plan. Figure out what you are allowed to eat and what is on your taboo list. Read up on nutrition and make sure you are getting the nutrients you require to stay healthy.

    • 2). Consult a cookbook. A vegan cookbook would be a good start. Determine what sort of dishes you can prepare using only sprouts and grains. Copy the recipes and begin your own cookbook.

    • 3). Start growing your own sprouts. Even if you live in an apartment building in the center of a major city, as long as you have a window with some sunlight you can grow your own sprouts. Another option is to buy a grow-light. Growing your own sprouts allows you to harvest the food immediately before you cook it. Better yet, eat the sprouts raw.

    • 4). Make your own beer with barley. This grain has been cultivated for thousands of years, according to The Nibble online. This grain has a sweet, nutty flavor and is most nutritious when the shell is left on.

    • 5). Bake your own bread. Rather than sticking to white bread, be creative and get some variety in your diet. Start using flax, oats and rye to come up with your own delicious bread.

    • 6). Learn to appreciate couscous. The Berber community in North Africa learned to grind wheat down into smaller particles that made it easier to digest than whole wheat. Couscous will keep for years and is easily prepared with boiling water.

    • 7). Eat pasta. Like bread, pasta can be make from any grain that can be ground into flour. After you boil up your gnocchi or ravioli, make a sauce using sprouts. You may want to deviate from your strict diet and add some tomatoes for extra flavor.
