How to Reset a Windows Account Password
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu and open "Control Panel."
- 2). Click on the option titled "Change my password."
- 3). Type in the password you currently use in the field titled, "Type your current password."
- 4). Decide on a new password and type it into the fields titled: "Type a new password" and "Type the new password again to confirm." A strong and secure password should have eight or more characters, be a combination of capital and lowercase letters, and be a combination of letters and numbers.
