How do I Replace a Lexmark M410 Fuser?
- 1). Turn off and unplug your printer. Allow the machine 15 to 20 minutes to cool down before you continue. Open the upper door and multipurpose tray.
- 2). Locate and remove the screw in the front of the right side frame mounted into the cover. Locate the other screw on the top left of the rear of the printer and remove it. Lift the right side cover off the machine and set aside.
- 3). Locate the two tabs on the front left portion of the printer. Release the tabs with your fingers. Slide the left cover forward off its hinge. Lift it off to remove it.
- 4). Remove two screws from the right side of the printer near the top. Remove one screw on the left side of the printer near the top. Lift the top cover from the printer.
- 5). Remove the two lower mounting screws located under the rear door on the back of the machine. Open the rear door to view the redrive assembly. Remove the two upper mounting screws. Lift the redrive assembly away from the rear of the printer slowly until you see two cables. Disconnect the two cables by gently pulling the connectors. Remove the redrive assembly.
- 6). Disconnect the two wires from the fuser to the power supply. Remove the four screws mounting the fuser to the printer. Disconnect the thermistor wire. Slide the fuser out of the printer. Replace it with a new fuser. Reassemble the printer in reverse order.
