Gluten-free chocolate walnut torte is based on a classic Mediterranean recipe for "Chocolate-Walnut Torta Caprese" which appears in the cook booklet "Culinary Journey to the Mediterranean."

This cake is easy to make and isn't overly sweet so you might want to serve wedges with a small dollop of whipped cream or ice cream. Also, it's delicious served with a cup of espresso.
