How to Use a Paraffin Wax Machine
- 1). Set the paraffin wax machine on a flat, steady surface near a wall socket.
- 2). Put the unmelted paraffin wax into the machine and, if it comes with a plastic grill, place it on top. Be sure to place the designated amount of wax into the machine, as directed in the operating instructions that came with it. Place the lid on top.
- 3). Plug in the machine and let sit for as long as the instructions say. The paraffin is ready when it has completely melted.
- 4). Add paraffin as needed to the machine. There will be an indicator on the machine to tell you how much to add and where the limit is. Be careful not to overfill the machine.
- 1). Wash and dry the area of the body you want to be treated. Treat small areas such as a foot, elbow or hand. Be sure to take off any jewelry from that area of the body.
- 2). Test the wax with your fingertip to make sure it's the right temperature. If not, adjust the temperature.
- 3). Dip the selected body part into the paraffin. Repeat three to 10 times.
- 4). Cover the body part with a plastic liner that came with the machine. Place an insulated mitt onto the area to retain the heat of the wax.
- 5). Let the wax sit on your selected body part for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 6). Remove the insulated mitt from the treated body part. Dispose of the used wax and liner.
- 7). Refill the paraffin wax machine if necessary using Step 4 of Section 1.
