21 element - What exactly is an Experimental Music?
What's an experimental music? It actually firstly appeared only in North America and was the real music that was also unpredictable. It was even sometimes wholly described as the "transethnic" music just because of the simple variety of the non matching styles of all the sounds from a many different countries with a much more hybrid direct approach. The genre is also unorthodox and finally began to appear right in the mid of the 20th century. It is also finally described in the journalism as a good music form that also departs from the much more traditional norms.
The First ever International Decade of the Experimental Music, (8-18 in the month of June in the year 1953), was critically formed by "The Group of Researchers of The Musique Concrete", otherwise it is also known as The GRMC, because they had wanted to reverse the whole German assimilation of the music genre. It would suitably have been named after the "German Elektronische Musik" instead. John Cage, an extreme important figure, who began using the term experimental music as early as the year 1955. Describing the experimental music, artists also tend to agree that it is a very important art form that also generally uses an experimental action of which the outcome is not at all foreseen. It is very much different to avant-garde, which also carries a much more traditional extreme point of view.
This genre "experimental" goes totally out of the norm; the music also combines all the leading edge techniques with a whole exploratory method. A Past History: The year 1960-1980 - Frank Zappa had played a song called "The Playing Music on a Cycle" and the glorious performance was too close to that of John Cage's "Water Walk" in the I have Got a Secret Show. Artists actually like "Pink Floyd", "Velvet Underground", "The Residents" and "White Noise" all if that began incorporating experimental music in their obvious sound. In the year 1980 -2000 -"Tellus Audio Cassette Magazine" began in the year 1983 releasing their cassettes that where all about the original genre.
Musicians also began to finally alter the tunings and also playing with a third bridge. After the famous Krautrock movement of the age of the 70's Germans also began to greatly experiment with the song structure and some musical instruments. Instruments were being made-up of several scrap metals and tools. A group that was named as Aphex Twin also began to customize the music circuits of their musical instruments only to find out several new experimental sounds. This was also called the circuit bending. High profiled artists just like Bjork and Beck even began to build their own work on the avant-garde and some highly experimental music platforms. 21element. http://www.21element.com
