    Fruits

    • Fruits that are alkaline will have low amounts of acid, and include lemons, tomatoes, avocados, grapefruit and apricots. Avoid fruits that are high in citric acid, such as oranges, strawberries, grapes, apples and cherries.

    Vegetables

    • Vegetable that are more alkaline include onions, cauliflower, spinach, green beans, carrots, celery, broccoli, kale and garlic. Avoid highly acidic vegetables, such as corn, cabbage or pumpkin.

    Nuts, Seeds, Legumes

    • Alkaline nuts, seeds and legumes include almonds, pumpkin, sunflower and sesame seeds, lentils and flax seeds. Avoid acidic nuts, seeds and legumes like pistachio nuts, peanuts or cashew nuts.
