How to Rig a Gulp Shrimp
- 1). Tie a No. 4 hook to the end of the fishing line. Use a Palomar knot.
- 2). Crimp two to three split-shot weights about 8 inches up the line from the hook.
- 3). Attach the "Gulp!" shrimp to the hook. Insert the hook into the bottom of the shrimp's head -- or through the bottom of the tail -- and push it upward. The hooked shrimp sits in the bend of the hook.
- 1). Tie a 1/8- to 1/4-oz. jig to the end of the fishing line. Use a Palomar knot.
- 2). Hold the jig in one hand. Hold the "Gulp!" shrimp in the other.
- 3). Insert the point of the hook in the head of the shrimp. The point of the hook must face the top of the shrimp. Thread the shrimp up the shank until the head is just below the jig head. Push the point of the hook out of the shrimp. Push the head of the shrimp so it is firm against the head of the jig.
